HOME VISIT ADVANTAGES
With new state-of-the-art portable testing equipment it is possible to perform a valid hearing examination and hearing aid fitting in the client's home. Hearing healthcare services are personalized and convenient. Evaluation and treatment in the individual's own home has the advantage of revealing the hearing and communication challenges in their daily routine.
The ability to program the instruments for the user's living situation makes the prescriptive fit as customized as possible as they can be adjusted for the actual voices and other important sounds in that person's environment.
Additionally, training in the use and care of hearing aids and/or assistive listening devices, as well as communication and listening skills with hearing aids can be integrated into home life and into any therapy sessions also taking place there.
Friends and family are encouraged to be active partners in hearing treatment and be a familiar voice in hearing aid demonstations.
